![]() They are incredibly easy to beat, especially if you're a completionist like myself so you're already the max level you can be in that section of the game. ![]() The game had a lot more potential, the story needed to be more interactive as you only interact with the story characters twice in the entire game and these two boss fights are really disappointing. Really bad mmo side quests, kill "x" amount of "y".a lot of these Points of interest and treasure chests/liscence plates to find ![]() 3 classes of shark with their own "equipment" to unlock Basic combat, avoid attacks by simply being quick and spam attack when the enemies glow yellow Has a story that is told through short cutscenes and two boss fights Here's a few bullet points that quickly summarise the game. It's a fun idea for a game but I's not worth the full asking price. Luckily it doesn't matter against hunters. I really do enjoy the game so far, I just absolutely hate the camera. All organs/evolutions are upgradeable once you can afford them. I've still only got the tiger skin which comes with the day 1 edition, at it's base it gives 5% more for every resource. There's no skill tree, you assign organs/evolutions to specific slots and cap upgrade the stats. Having to either hide or rush past stronger enemies is fitting enough, you can't win every fight, and the game is designed to have you going back and forth: the first 'cave system' you're in has level 15 enemies, and grates you can only break if you're adult or elder, so now at level 9 I've fast travelled back to 'cave 1' to see what else I can do. There's a good level of cynicism and sarcasm to the game so far.ĭragging people off jetskis or jumping onto the beach to bite a leg off is fun. ![]() Also its quite relaxing just swimming around. Sound is great, Chris Parnell is an excellent narrator and I like the shark hunting documentary setup of the story. Couldn't handle the minions for the 4th boss yet as too many enemies, and they're now using shotguns, machine guns, dynamite and harpoon guns, on jetskis, skiffs and airboats.Ĭombat against humans is fast and frantic, and I love the chaos of it. I went straight through the first 3 bosses, one after the other, which got me to level 8, so now I have the first 3 evolutions electric bite, more health, more health recovered from feeding. Underwater combat against other creatures is a case of getting a few hits in, dodging their thrusts, then counter attacking with the occasional tail whip.Ĭombat against humans is like another game entirely, where you maintain maximum speed and can either kill them all or go straight for the gunner, driver, or the specific infamy boss, drag them off the boat and job done.Īt level 6 I started my first infamy fight, caused by getting my threat meter up. If you're fighting multiple enemies you might as well button mash. You use R3 to change the camera, centre your view, briefly lock onto enemies, and sometimes during combat you need to wiggle it to thrash an enemy in your jaws. I've played a few hours and am now a level 9, teenage shark (start as a pup, I think you're a teen at level 6, then an adult and elder sometime after). Sharks gave his father no mercy, he shows the beasts none in return, hunting them wherever they are found.
